Konzept:
Musikkomposition zu einem Comic, statt zu einem konventionellen Film zu schreiben, war ein originelles Konzept, dass Inma Galiot sehr interessierte. Auf der Suche nach möglichen Kandidaten dachte sie an den Autor Andrés G. Leiva (Córdoba, Spanien, 1969), zu dem sie bereits persönlichen Kontakt hatte und der auch schon eine zahlreiche Liste von Comics veröffentlichte. Von ihm fand sie das Buch Evelyn wegen Länge und Handlung am interessantesten für ihr Konzept geeignet. Bei Evelyn faszinierte sie die düstere Atmosphäre in schwarz und weiss, welche zusammen mit der Wax-Technik eine perfekte Welt für ihre mysteriöse Musik schaffen konnte.
Nach der Comicverfilmung von der Animatorin Anna Levinson wurde jeder Figur des Comics von Synchronsprechern eine Stimme gegeben: auf diese Weise ähnelt sich der Comic einem Film. Darüber wird die Musik live zur Leinwand gespielt, die bereits 2016 im Studio aufgenommen und gemischt wurde und beim Intersonanzen Festival in Potsdam Uraufführung hatte. Die Herstellung einer DVD ist im Gange.
Handlung:
Ende des neunzehnten Jahrhunderts in einem kleinen Dorf Irlands. Ein mysteriöses Mädchen wird dem merkwürdigen Verschwinden einiger Dorfkinder, welches seine Bewohner ängstigt, beschuldigt. Der Skeptiker Dr. Corman geht dem Fall nach, welcher ihn ins London der industriellen Revolution führt. In dem Nebel der Stadt in seinem verfallenden Herrenhaus haust ein von der Welt isoliertes dunkles Wesen… Nebel, Gaslicht, Blut, Silberkugeln und Opernmusik füllen die Seiten dieses Comics aus.

Live concert of the soundtrack for the graphic novel

Concept:
Composing a soundtrack for a graphic novel instead of for a conventional movie was an idea that Inma Galiot had in mind for a while because of its originality. After considering several authors and illustrators, she chose Andrés G. Leiva (Córdoba, 1969), an acquaintance of hers with an extensive list of published comics. Among all his books she’s picked out Evelyn because of its length, its argument, its fascinating dark atmosphere in black and white and its wax drawings, that could perfectly match a mysterious music.
After the animated movies expert Anna Levinson adapted the book into the video and dubbing actors gave voice to the characters, Leiva’s comic turned into a movie, whose soundtrack is interpreted live during its projection. This soundtrack was recorded in studio in 2016 and will be published together with the movie next year. This project had its premiere in April 2016 within the Intersonanzen Festival in Potsdam, Germany.
Argument:
Late nineteenth century. A mysterious girl is accused of bringing evil to a small village in Ireland, where a series of strange disappearances arouse fear and hatred among the population. By investigating the case, the skeptical Dr. Corman will be taken to the London of the industrial whirlwind. Among the city’s mists, an obscure being lives isolated from the world in its decaying mansion, together with its maid… Fog, gas lighting, blood, silver bullets and opera music fill the pages of this magnificent comic.

Concierto en directo de la banda sonora para la novela gráfica

Concepto:
La composición de la banda sonora para una novela gráfica en lugar de para una película convencional era una idea que Inma Galiot ya tenía en mente desde hacía algún tiempo por su originalidad. Tras pensar en varios autores y dibujantes eligió a Andrés G. Leiva (Córdoba, 1969), al que conoce personalmente y el cual tiene una amplia lista de cómics publicados. De todos sus libros fue Evelyn el mejor candidato, debido a su duración y a su argumento y del que a Inma le fascinó su oscura atmósfera en blanco y negro junto su técnica en cera que podrían combinar perfectamente con una música misteriosa.
Tras la adaptación a vídeo por parte de la experta en cine de animación Anna Levinson, actores de doblaje pusieron voz a los personajes convirtiendo este libro en una película, cuya banda sonora se interpreta en directo durante su proyección. Dicha música fue grabada en estudio en 2016 y será publicada junto con la película en el próximo año. Este proyecto tuvo su estreno en abril de 2016 dentro del Intersonanzen Festival en la ciudad de Potsdam, Alemania.
Argumento:
Finales del siglo XIX. Una misteriosa niña es acusada de traer el mal a una pequeña aldea de Irlanda, en la que una serie de extrañas desapariciones suscitan el temor y el odio de sus gentes. El escéptico doctor Corman investigará el caso que le llevará hasta el Londres de la vorágine industrial. Entre las brumas de la ciudad, un oscuro ser vive aislado del mundo en su decadente mansión, en compañía de su sirvienta… Niebla, luz de gas, sangre, balas de plata y música de ópera llenan las páginas de este magnífico cómic.
